Thank you for the information. Could you also tell me where is this located? And what could be a rough estimate for water/electricity connection and a homestead (sq m price)? Just trying to get a total ballpark cost for the project. Thanks!
We are close to Ciudad Neily.
These are rough estimations based on experience without creating a detailed plan.
Electricity:
Cable and meter may cost about $1500-$2000 because a beefy cable of about 500m has to be brought in from the street with 220/110V.
The first in the street has to put in the posts to bring in the electricity, but that cost can be recuperated when others want to use the same posts. with a proper wall for more meters outside and posts for 400 meters. I'd add another $2000
Solar is more. I'd say $10000 minimum
Water is traditionally done here by digging a well manually. We didn't have to do it because our property had it.
based on the effort I've seen others do here, the labor would cost about $1000 to do it.
bringing a drill and doing it that way would double it in my opinion
Count another $1500 for a water tower, tank and pump.
for the homestead... well there are many ways of building. I estimate that our house will cost $250 when finished, not counting my work. I do most things.
I asked Grok, he estimates $1000 per square meter. I can imagine a high-end tip-top house costing that much fully built by contractors.
I think mine and Groks give good estimated range for the cost of the house, it's somewhere between those numbers based on involvement, solutions etc...
